People making a difference
Cowies Hill wouldn’t be where it is today without the various task teams that willingly volunteer their services to our community
There are so many people that have invested of themselves to make our community what it is today. From the Neighbourhood Watch members who patrol while we are sleeping to those that care for our elderly. We would like to honour those that have been a part of the journey to building our successful Estate but have maybe not stood on the stage. We thank you.
Honorary Members of our community stand out. We salute them here…
Marius Jansen Van Rensburg (Creation and Management of Neighbourhood Watch Model.)
Nicola Meeding (Community Liaison, Neighbourhood Watch Member and Volunteer Trauma Counseller.)
Jonathan Rundle (Neighbourhood Watch Member and Frequent First Responder)
Tracey Martin (Events Co-ordinator)
Margaret Daniel (Area Greening)
The selfless nature of community work, ,means that it often goes under the radar.
If you know of anyone who is working tirelessly behind the scenes for the good of our community, please let us know and we will give them credit where it is due.
On Saturday the 14th March we hosted the first CHE Community Clean Up and we were so grateful for the enthusiasm that residents showed towards it. We had almost 50 residents all putting in the hard yards to uplift our area from cleaning sign boards, weeding, collecting rubbish and cutting back some overgrown trees and shrubs nothing was too much to ask.
